This beginning 3 CE home study course discusses marijuana use and abuse related issues. The course will cover topics including the scope of marijuana use in the United States, the effects of marijuana, how marijuana produces it’s effects, the addictive potential of marijuana, if marijuana is a gateway drug, and if there is a link between marijuana use and psychiatric disorders. The course will further detail and discuss how marijuana use impacts school, work, and social functioning in addition to physical health. The course will highlight some available treatment for Marijuana Use Disorders.
